Rachael – Stylist

Background
Attended Cameo College of Essential Beauty and graduated in 2016. She decided to go into hair because as she said, “I wanted to make people feel as beautiful as they truly are”. Her favorite hair techniques are balayage and vivids, she loves adding pops of fun color but can do it all. In 2021 she moved from Utah to Florida with her fiancé (now husband) to be with his family. She has four fur babies and one scaly baby. She spends her free time with family and trying new things but also calls herself a “homebody”.

In addition to her cosmetology license, she also received a Barber’s license in Utah. With additional certifications in:

Most memorable moment
Receiving second place at her hair school’s competition. They did a Phantom of the opera theme with models. “It was so much fun, and I knew I made the right decision with my career path in that moment.”

What makes you unique to others in this industry?
She favors unique colors and styles. “I love giving people a confidence boost when they leave my chair.”

Describe yourself
Family and friends tell her she’s a good listener, open minded, and likes to get to know everyone.

Career Goals
I would like to get to a point where I am considered a color specialist. But mostly I would like a hair home to settle into and find my community.

What do you like most about working at the MW Salon?
“Finding a salon that fits me. I honestly feel like this is the first time I can be somewhere I am happy… Organized, Friendly, Polite, and Professional. I love how it feels walking into the salon, everyone is so welcoming. The team environment here is so unlike any other salon I’ve worked in and helps me expand and advance my skills beyond my comfort zone. I finally think I found my hair home.”

Everyone is so warm and welcoming it’s a really relaxed atmosphere and we all truly want to see each other succeed. The team is so genuine, and the products and colorings are also excellent. With the open concept, it gives us the opportunity to learn something from each other and perfect our craft.
